Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the "MedCod RO — Medical Codes" app (the "app"), you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

What the app is

The app is an offline catalogue for quick look-up of the official medical codes used in Romania — disease codes, sick-leave codes, procedure codes, and emergency lists. It is offered free of charge, with no account, no ads, and no data collection, by Alexandru Purcaru, a private individual in Romania.

Not a medical device

This app is NOT a medical device. It exists solely for documentation and quick look-up of official codes. It makes no diagnosis, recommends no treatment and does not replace the physician's clinical judgement. For professional decisions always consult the official sources currently in force. In an emergency call 112.

Accuracy and currency of the data

The app's content reproduces the official editions available at the time each version was published. We do not guarantee that the displayed data is complete, accurate, or fully up to date — official nomenclatures can change, and transcription errors remain possible. The app is provided "as is", without any express or implied warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or currency of its content.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for how you use the information in the app. For any professional, administrative, or medical decision, always check the official source currently in force (the Official Gazette, the cited legal acts, or publications from CNAS, INMSS, or WHO). Using the app does not exempt you from this check.

Intellectual property

The sick-leave codes (Joint Order 1192/745/2020) and the emergency lists (Annex to Government Decision 423/2020) are official Romanian texts, excluded from copyright protection under art. 9(b) of Law 8/1996. The disease codes (ICD-10) are protected by copyright held by the World Health Organization (WHO); the Romanian edition is published by CNAS/INMSS. The procedure codes (ICD-10-AM/ACHI) are protected by copyright held by IHACPA (Australia); the Romanian edition is published by INMSS. The app's name, original text, interface elements, and design belong to the developer. Using the app grants you no rights over these materials beyond using the app for its intended purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use, or inability to use, the app, including errors, omissions, or interruptions in its content. The app is a reference tool, not a professional service, and using it creates no contractual relationship beyond these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute is resolved under the Romanian legislation in force.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the app evolves. The version in force is always the one published at this address; the last-updated date appears above.
