What everyone asks
Is it free?
Yes. MedCod RO is completely free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Does it work offline?
Yes. All 23,064 codes are bundled with the app at install time and work entirely without an internet connection — the app doesn't even request the internet permission.
Which lists does it contain?
Five lists: disease codes (ICD-10), sick-leave codes (999), procedure codes (ICD-10-AM/ACHI), medical-surgical emergencies and group A infectious diseases, per Government Decision 423/2020.
How current is the data, and how do updates happen?
The data reflects the official editions in force at the time each app version was published. Official nomenclatures are revised infrequently (typically yearly or less often); when a new edition is released, we update the content and publish a new version on Google Play and the App Store. For professional decisions, always check the official source currently in force.
Is it a medical device?
No. MedCod RO is NOT a medical device. It's a catalogue for documentation and quick look-up of official codes — it does not interpret symptoms, issue recommendations, or replace the user's professional judgement. What languages is it available in?
The interface is available in Romanian and English, switchable with a single button. Code descriptions stay in Romanian, exactly as in the official documents.
Does it collect data?
No. The app has no user account, uses no analytics, shows no ads, and talks to no server — it doesn't even request the internet permission. Full details in the privacy policy.
How do I install it, or report an error?
The app will soon be available for free on Google Play and the App Store. If you find a wrong or incomplete code, email contact@medcod.ro — mention the code, which list it's from, and what you noticed.
How to report a wrong code
If a code, description, or classification in the app doesn't match the official source, email us at contact@medcod.ro. To help us verify and fix it quickly, please include: the exact code, which list it belongs to (disease, sick leave, procedure, or emergency), and what looks wrong or missing. Confirmed corrections are included in the next app update.
Version and updates
The app doesn't have a public changelog yet. The installed version number appears on the "About" screen in the app's menu. When the official lists are revised, we publish a new app version with the updated content.
